Born and raised in Los Angeles with a perspective shaped by global travels, Alexis is no stranger to the many facets of luxury fitness, health, and wellness. Previously a professional model, she’s understood the importance of exercise in looking and feeling your best from her teens. But, like many, she believed that the path to getting results meant hitting the gym every day. Pushing herself with heavy weights and serious cardio, only to feel burnt out—physically and mentally. Enter mat Pilates. A game-changer for building strength without stress, Pilates made Alexis feel lean, toned, and strong, while calming and focusing her mind.
But as Alexis deepened her practice, most classes left her feeling unsatisfied. Some were too slow, others too intense—losing the control, flow, and form that make Pilates so effective. Group settings felt impersonal, with little guidance or feedback. She craved what was missing: clear structure and progression, targeted muscle movement, and a burn that delivered strength with control.
With certifications in Power Pilates (Mat I & II), Alexis set out to raise the bar in LA Pilates. Backed by her academic foundation—a degree in Philosophy & Entrepreneurship from USC, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and her ongoing Master’s in PR and Advertising at USC Annenberg—she fused skill with science to develop The Tonne Method.
“I fell in love with Pilates and how it made me feel”
She prioritises quality over quantity and brings this refined philosophy to the mat. In the studio, she’s building an intimate community by referral only that favors the slow, the smart, and the built to last. Mindful living, redefined.
In a world oversaturated with fads and fast fixes, Alexis believes that more isn’t always better.
